The AIESEC Global Learning Environment

Individual discovery – Are you aware of who you are? What do you want in life? What makes you happy? What makes you vibe? Our actions help you to discover the sense of your life and guide you towards the best decisions in your personal and professional opportunities.

Team Experiences – Teams are the basis of our current organizational structure. You can be part of teams from 4 members to lead the organization to over 35,000 members. Our teams’ experiences are comprised of a common goal, plan, specific period of time and constant evaluation and recognition of success. You can manage projects, manage organizational processes and operations, organize events and much more. Teams also bring forward the aspect of ‘learning by doing’

Mentoring – Mentoring relationships provide an important source of external feedback –with other AIESEC members or AIESEC partners/supporters- about your decisions in AIESEC and outside of AIESEC. Through mentoring we create friendly relationships among all of our stakeholders and powerful networks.

After finishing your day’s studies, you can play exciting casino games at a mobile casino to unwind. You could win instant cash prizes.

Virtual Spaces – Our virtual spaces play the role of tying together the entire learning environment and AIESEC network. MyAIESEC.net is our unique online platform of resources, contact information, forums, news, classifieds and constant promotion of exchange and leadership opportunities at a local, national and international level. At the same time, AIESEC is present in the main online channels such as Youtube, Flickr, Facebook to keep you connected to your AIESEC friends in all parts of the world.

Conferences and Seminars – AIESEC holds over 470 national and international conferences every year which gather AIESEC members, partners, sponsors, alumni, etc. These conferences currently serve to support major organisational activity. You can either attend or organize these conferences in your city/country and receive AIESEC members from all over the world. See more about our AIESEC conferences here

Learning Circles – AIESEC Learning Circles are local learning communities to discuss and share information about issues or topics that are common between members, partners or sponsors. The learning circles –virtual and physical- are formed by AIESECers who share a common interest in gaining experience, knowledge and networks in a common sector or topic.

The Selection and Application

After joining and understanding AIESEC, you can enter a review process to assess your experiences and motivation for going on an AIESEC exchange. This is a physical process consisting of selection interview, language tests and other steps depending on the country that you are applying from.

The selection process aims to ensure that everyone participating in an AIESEC exchange is suitable and will have a positive experience while on exchange. It is comprised of at least 1 stages:

Selection Review Board: a board that will interview you to assess your suitability to become an exchange participant in several areas.
You may find additional selection requirements based on the country that you are applying from.

If you have any questions please select your country from the drop down menu in the top left corner to contact the AIESEC office in your country.

Preparation

This step happens before leaving for your exchange experience and actually starts before you have matched yourself to a suitable internship. It consists of areas such as:

Logistical preparation. Ensuring that you are physically and legally prepared to work in another country.
Community Involvement. To help you gain an understanding of issues facing the world and your own community.
Direct Country preparation. Preparation on the country you will be going to and also how to cope with the pressures of living in a foreign culture.
AIESEC preparation. Providing you with knowledge about the exchange program and the roles of various entities.
The preparation step is critically important to ensure that you are ready to make the most out of your experience in a personal and professional sense. We also see it as an important part in ensuring that the people participating in the exchange program understand their responsibilities and the role that they play in fulfilling AIESEC’s vision.

Matching

By this stage you have been through the selection process and have become an official AIESEC exchange participant (EP). Now you are able to start being matched to a suitable internship.

You will be trained and given access to use our on-line database of internship opportunities. The more flexible you are in terms of geographical preferences the better.

Integration

The most fulfilling step from here is experiencing the actual internship itself. AIESEC will provide you with much more information on what to expect during your internship experience and what kind of involvement you can have with AIESEC and the local environment while you are on your exchange experience in a new country. AIESEC members in your host chapter provide support in receiving you, getting logistically setup while providing opportunities for cultural and social activities.

Re-Integration

AIESEC supports you in making the readjustment process when you return home. We hope that your experience opens up a world of opportunities to create a better society for us all. Also, if you’re interested to continue your AIESEC career, you can try the leadership opportunities available for you in your country.

AIESEC 20

Welcome message from the Grandpa of AIESEC Armenia

Dear friends, fellow AIESECers of the past and the present; It is hard to believe that twenty years have passed from the day we open our hearts and let the AIESEC spirit flow and enlighten us for the rest of our life.

That was a difficult time for Armenian nation and for the group of young, energetic students; AIESEC brought a hope of survival and optimism for a bright future. Throughout those years AIESEC seeds have given quality harvest to Armenia and the rest of the world: government officials, successful businessmen, international civil servants.
I am very excited that AIESEC in Armenia is getting stronger, more organized and professional. It is still in good hands and we can trust new generation to continue the mission that we started twenty years ago.

As a humble peacekeeper of twelve year with the United Nations, who devoted eight years of his life to the establishment of AIESEC roots in Armenia, I have to confess that AIESEC spirit helped me to withstand the desert, the challenges and difficulties and I am ready to shout:

L O N G   L I V E   A I E S E C

I am an AIESECer Alumnus

AIESEC is the window to the future. I am proud to have been standing at the source of AIESEC [Armenia’s] establishment and development. In fact AIESEC is one of the most successful international projects in Armenia that gives the opportunity to present our youth to the world, at the same time learning much from different countries and nations. I am proud that our youth could maintain and develop the work that we started. In these hard conditions I wish AIESEC interesting projects and an active life.
